Stream of Thoughts is a programme of encounters that accompanies the festival. Due to the pandemic and the growing collective awareness of the issues and disparities affecting different parts of the world, it has become clear that the conversations to be must have a global reach while also considering the various local contexts.

Frie Leysen Grant

We will start this year with an empty day: a day dedicated to Frie Leysen, who left us last autumn. Kunstenfestivaldesarts and deSingel - the arts center that founded Frie in 1980 - are jointly establishing a scholarship for emerging artists in her name: a tribute to Frie's commitment to always looking to the future rather than honouring the past.
