Contribute to Angélica Liddell’s performance

In Seppuku. El funeral de Mishima o el placer de morir, Angélica Liddell explores her own death, inspired by the life, work and poetics of writer Yukio Mishima. The performance consists of an invocation. It begins with a plea for the clothing of the dead—to receive it, and to revere it.

For this Liddell is looking for contributions from people who want to commemorate their loved ones in a serene and artistic way. The contributions consist of an item of clothing that once belonged to someone who has taken their own life or has passed away. All garments will be returned safely afterwards.

The contributor will be in contact with the production, allowing them to gain insight into their feelings regarding the gesture – a process that ensures both comfort and poetic commitment. This open creative process offers participants an opportunity for encounter and remembrance through poetry and theatre.
