Mio Ishida is a Chigasaki-based actor and dancer with a theatre and dance degree from JF Oberlin University, and focuses on contemporary colloquial theatre. She has performed with Spacenotblank, Hirotaka Fukui, and marebito theater company, and appeared in Meirou Koizumi's video, Spell of Freedom. Ishida's interest lies in arranging activities to develop a certain research as part of sharing resources, including her body. She was selected for Arts Council Tokyo's “Program for Future Dancers”. In recent years, she developed RIDDEN with Indonesian choreographer Leu Wijee, showcasing it in many cities and festivals around Asia.
