Laura Huertas Millán is a Colombian and French moving image artist based in Brussels. Selected in cinema festivals such as the Berlinale, Toronto International Film Festival, Rotterdam International Film Festival, New York Film Festival and Cinéma du Réel, her films have been awarded at the Locarno Film Festival, FIDMarseille, Doclisboa and Videobrasil. She has exhibited individually at ℅ Berlin, The Crespo Foundation, MASP São Paulo and Medellín’s Modern Art Museum; in group shows at MoMA, LACMA, Times Museum, PinchukArtCentre, SeMA (Seoul), among others. Her work has been exhibited at the Sharjah Biennial, Liverpool Biennial, Seoul Mediacity Biennial, Coimbra Biennial, and FRONT Triennial. Retrospectives of her films have been organised in cinematheques such as TIFF Lightbox, Harvard Film Archive, Bogota Cinematheque, Austrian Film Museum, and Tabakalera; in museums (CA2M, CCA Glasgow, OCA Norway); and film festivals (Mar del Plata, Rencontres du Documentaire de Montréal, FICUNAM). In 2024 she was awarded the Ulrike Crespo After Nature Prize, and the AWARE “Nouveau Regard” Prize.
