Emmanuel Van der Auwera Brussels

Emmanuel Van der Auwera (°1982, BE) is an artist whose work reflects upon the chains of production and consumption of images as part of a new visual economy brought by digital spaces, and the responsibility inherent in the act of seeing. He is a 2015 Langui Award recipient of the Young Belgian Art Prize, and the first winner of the Goldwasserschenking awarded by the WIELS Contemporary Art Centre. His work has been widely shown at leading institutions such as the Palais de Tokyo (Paris, FR); Pinakothek der Moderne (Munich, DE); KW Institute for Contemporary Art (Berlin, DE); among others.
