Decoratelier Brussels

Arkadi Zaides is a choreographer, who was born in Belarus in 1979 and immigrated to Israel in 1990. Through his work Zaides has been addressing social and political issues, at first responding to the situation in Israel/Palestine and now slowly shifting towards the European context.

Chris Keulemans (1960) is a writer, moderator and cultural organizer based in Amsterdam.

Michiel Soete (1986) makes performances, constructions and music. He lives in Brussels.

Michiel Vandevelde (1990) is based in Brussels and works as a choreographer, dancer, editor and curator. His artistic work consists of actions in public space, performances and the building of various constructions.

Rimah Jabr (1980) is a playwright, theatre maker and writer. Living and working in Nablus and Brussels, she has written and directed plays, as well as published poems and short stories in English and Arabic.

Sis Matthé (1980) is a writer and musician based in Antwerpen.

Thomas Bellinck (1983) is a Brussels-based artist. He has created several documentary plays, often addressing different types of systemic violence, and has recently built a historical-futuristic museum about life in the former European Union. Currently he is working on a TV-series about the concurrence of labour migration, industrial agriculture and pollution at the Southern fringes of Europe.

Wim Cuyvers (1958), speleologist (since 1973), architect (since 1982), forester (since 2009), devotes his time since seven years to one single non-project: the shelter Montavoix in the forest next to Saint-Claude, Haut-Jura, France.

Anna Rispoli (1974) is an Italian artist based in Molenbeek. Her research revolves around a multiplicity of mental landscapes: from the fictional images created by distance, forced proximity, longing or desire to the oriented projections of city branding or city bashing.

Begüm Erciyas (1982) is a Turkish choreographer based in Brussels since 2015. In her work, the stage is often a setting for games of replacement, imagination and belief. Lately, she’s been working on a set-up in which the audience becomes the spectator of their own voice.

Jisun Kim (1985) is a South Korean artist based in Seoul. She has an interest in social systems, cultures and no man’s lands: multi-layered spaces created between laws, norms, the physical borders between countries, and marginalised spaces in existing and online worlds.

Jozef Wouters (1986) is a Brussels-based scenographer. He designs and negotiates space in various contexts and constellations.

Rebekka de Wit (1985) is a writer based in Amsterdam.

Rodrigo Sobarzo de Larraechea (1982) is a Chilean choreographer and performer based in Amsterdam and Brussels. He makes work that seeks to envelope its viewer into visual introspection with a strong interest on sub-cultural production. @autisticmo (on Twitter)
