Pour sa participation à la Free School, Kate McIntosh poursuit l’enquête menée dans sa dernière création To Speak Light Pours Out. Elle organise, trois jours durant, un programme polyrythmique pour une vingtaine de participant·es qui sont invité·es à plonger dans un monde où rythmes, voix, textes et leurs significations interagissent pour se façonner et se canaliser. Pendant cet atelier, iels se penchent sur le potentiel politique des polyrythmies, cette forme musicale qui ne permet pas l’existence d’une seule voix dominante. L’artiste invite des écrivaines féministes, des musicien·nes et d’autres intervenant·es à collaborer au programme, laissant la place aux désaccords, accueillant et célébrant ainsi un vivre-ensemble complexe.
