In response to an unprecedented level of censorship and acts of intimidation against colleagues working in the fields of arts and culture in Europe, Kunstenpunt/Flanders Arts Institute organises a debate reflecting on the political agency of arts institutions. What is their responsibility to foster alternative narratives, political action and safer spaces? And is their political position defined by the board, the management, the team, the funding bodies or other stakeholders? Different cases and recent practices will be shared.
